Ana Mr\u010di\u0107<\/p><\/div>\n

We met Mrs. Ana Mr\u010di\u0107 in 2015 when she contacted us and asked if we would like to hold an action to join Croatian Bone Marrow Donor Registry in the Brezovica Elementary School where she worked. Mrs. Mr\u010di\u0107 has just casually mentioned that she was suffering from myelodysplastic syndrome (the so-called preleukemic condition) and that she would love if people from her area enter into the Croatian Registry, knowing that many are waiting for their matching donor. She knew that one day she would have to go through a hard path of transplantation, but she wanted to help those who didn\u2019t have time to wait.<\/p>\n

It didn\u2019t take long for us to meet at the already mentioned successful action in the Brezovica Elementary School. Mrs. Mr\u010di\u0107, besides being a school psychologist, is very successful in the triple jump, the athletic discipline, and achieves top results; Mrs. Mr\u010di\u0107 is the current world veteran champion in the triple jump.<\/p>\n

When you become acquainted with her, you are impressed by her incredibly athletic spirit and attitude with which she accepted her illness as just a temporary obstacle she will overcome like she did many times before.<\/p>\n

Last year, she decided to skip another big obstacle; she decided to get a bone marrow transplantation. Mrs. Mr\u010di\u0107 found a matching donor in the Croatian Registry and her “Holiday in a spaceship”<\/a> has started.<\/p>\n

We are extremely happy that Mrs. Mr\u010di\u0107 has trusted us and allowed us to share her hospital diary<\/a> with all of you. Her diary<\/a> is a sort of a handbook for everyone waiting for their transplantation, and Mrs. Mr\u010di\u0107 is incredibly brilliant and witty, despite dealing with a difficult and uncertain process. We believe you will be impressed by it as much as we were.<\/p>\n
