Yesterday, September 17, 2026, we held a drive in Pretetinec, within the welcoming premises of the Me\u0111imurec Football Club, surrounded by a sense of kindness, warmth, and selflessness that is almost impossible to put into words. Every smile, every outstretched hand, and every registration in the Croatian Registry of Voluntary Hematopoietic Stem Cell Donors carried the same message: that we are not alone and that, together, we can be a source of hope for those who need it most. Yesterday, 82 young people chose to offer hope for saving a life by registering. Heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed a part of themselves to this drive\u2014those who gave their time, their energy, and their belief in the beauty of the human spirit. Thank you to the Municipality of Nedeli\u0161\u0107e and its Mayor, Mr. Nikola Novak, for supporting this initiative from the very beginning. Special thanks go to Mr. Jerko Treska\u2014a transplant recipient\u2014and his family; through their experience, they reminded us that behind every registration lies a real person, a real family, and a real second chance at life. Their presence served as a quiet yet powerful reminder: donation is not merely an act\u2014it is a form of love that saves lives. We also extend special thanks to Mr. Mladen, who came to greet us and express his gratitude for our work, as he himself underwent a transplant six years ago. Thank you to the young people of the Municipality of Nedeli\u0161\u0107e\u2014your willingness to help a complete stranger, somewhere far away, proves that the finest and noblest side of humanity is still alive. You are a beacon of hope in a world that sometimes forgets how little it takes to perform a truly great deed. Your courage to say “yes”\u2014without expecting a reward, without even knowing the faces of those you help\u2014is pure, sincere love for humanity. We owe immense gratitude to our dear nurse Marijeta and Dr. Marija Gluhak. Thank you for every look filled with understanding, for every word of comfort, and for the patience and warmth with which you welcomed everyone who walked through the door that day. Without you, this story would not have been possible. And finally\u2014thank you to all of you. Because behind every number, there is more than just a figure; there is a heart beating for someone else. Behind every name, there is hope. And together, we have shown that when love is shared, it truly changes lives.<\/span><\/div>\n
