Dear friends, today we had two actions to join the Croatian Bone Marrow Donors Registry in Vara\u017edin and Sveti Martin na Muri, where we had a total of 349 new members!<\/p>\n
We organized this action in cooperation with NK Vara\u017edin and Municipality of Sveti Martin na Muri due to the heavy life story of our football player, a 31 year old Nikola Pokriva\u010d with Hodgkin’s lymphoma who needs bone marrow transplantation, as well as for all the suffering people around the world in search of a matching donor,
\nA big thank to all the good people who organized this in a very short time to help those who need our help the most. Thanks to Sa\u0161a Ma\u010dek who initiated and assisted in organizing the action in Vara\u017edin and the Vara\u017edin Management Board for support, thanks to the soccer players of NK Vara\u017edin who joined the action and other dear people who joined us today in Vara\u017edin. 133 of them gave a sample of their bone marrow for a new opportunity for the suffering patients.<\/p>\n
Thanks to the Municipality of Sveti Martin na Muri and to the Mayor Dra\u017een Crn\u010dec for assistance in the organization, Mrs. Martina Horvat, who also invited the loving nurses to assist us with sampling, as well as Dr. Ivana Babi\u0107 who readily responded to the inquiries of all interested and assisted them with enrollment. Thanks to 216 young people from Sv. Martin na Muri who were ready to help Nikola and everyone else in a similar, difficult situation where a small part of us can mean a lot.
