Dear friends, on Saturday, November 12th, from 10h to 12h, in Sports Hall Samobor (A. Hebranga 26a) in Samobor, an action to join the Croatian Bone Marrow Donors Registry will be held.<\/p>\n
This action of joining the Croatian Registry, the Foundation organizes on the initiative and with the help of Miss Jasmina Maji\u0107, who in January 2015 organized a very successful action of joining the Croatian Registry in Sv. Nedelja at which almost 250 potential donors joined the Registry, and public institution \u201cSport Facilities of Samobor\u201d and its director, Prof. Vladimir \u010cerkez.<\/p>\n
We will organize this action with a financial support of Zagreb county which awarded us with funds via Public tender for a project \u201cThe cure is in us\u201d on the territory of Zagreb county.<\/p>\n
All healthy citizens between the age of 18 and 40 can join the Registry. The process involves filling out a form and a health questionnaire, and giving out a blood sample for HLA typization which is used to determine antigens of tissue tolerance. Joining the Registry is the first step in helping people around the world diagnosed with acute or chronic form of leukemia, or people that have a severe damage of bone marrow.<\/p>\n
