On occasion of Zagreb Days, ceremonial session of City Assembly and City Administration, as well as Zagreb City Award ceremony were held in the Old Council House.<\/p>\n

The ceremonial session was opened by Assembly president Tatjana Holjevac who thanked all foreign country delegates, members of the Government, Croatian Parliament, City and many others who have responded to the invitation. The President had a speech pointing out the historical value and significance of the city.<\/p>\n
– Zagreb hasn’t been merely an administrative center since 1776, when Croatian government moved to our town; it is a metropolis with its intellectual, cultural, educational, scientific, sport and other potentials – said Holjevac.<\/p>\n
Love for the town core The mayor Milan Bandi\u0107 pointed out some significant steps taken by him and his employees during his mandate \u2013 in particular Homeland and Jarun bridges, Zagreb holding, expansion of Ljubljana Avenue, children daycare centers, garages, Down- town solution and many other projects that have been realized or are planned for realization.<\/p>\n
Down- town renewal requires immense financial means; without private capital through partnership with the Town, it won\u2019t be feasible. No one can like the Lower Town Core as this proven mayor \u2013 said Bandi\u0107 in his speech.<\/p>\n
Brussells City Parliament president Eric Tomas and Sarajevo mayor Semiha Borovac held their speeches on the award ceremony.<\/p>\n
