The humanitarian event for the Ana Rukavina Foundation brought together three musicians from completely different backgrounds to perform a concert to a sold out audience in Dra\u017een Petrovi\u0107 Hall on November 30th. The proceeds from the concert enabled the Foundation to tissue type 100 new blood samples.<\/p>\n
On Friday night, in the packed Dra\u017een Petrovi\u0107 Hall in Zagreb, the concert \u201cNight to Remember\u201d featured the well-known tenor Jos\u00e9 Carreras, the American pop icon Michael Bolton and Tony Cetinski. The event began with Bashkim Shehu’s song \u201cDolce suono\u201d, which was recorded by Carreras and Cetinski as a duet. It ended with the appearance of the Croatian Symphony Orchestra and the Big Band, conducted by David Gimenez. The program was divided into two parts, each half lasting 40 minutes. Each participant performed a few solo pieces, starting with Carreras singing \u201cMarechiare\u201d. He also performed a duet with each of the other participants, \u201cSome Enchanted Evening\u201d with Bolton and \u201cDolce suono\u201d with Cetinski. The stars of the \u201cNight to Remember\u201d said their goodbyes to the audience with Di Lazzaro\u2019s \u201cChitarra romana\u201d (Carreras), Charles\u2019s \u201cGeorgia on my mind\u201d (Bolton), Di Capuo\u2019s \u201c0 sole mio\u201d (Cetinski), and Berlin\u2019s \u201cWhite Christmas\u201d performed together.
