ANA RUKAVINA FOUNDATION ORGANIZES THE HUMANITARIAN CONCERT \u201cI WANT LIFE\u201d ON DECEMBER 18TH AT 8 PM ON BAN JOSIP JELA\u010cI\u0106 SQUARE<\/p>\n
During the activities of the Ana Rukavina Foundation throughout the past year, we have witnessed exceptional nobility and kindness which has been shown by many individuals, companies and institution in our society so that we can bring hope back in the lives of the many who are suffering from leukemia, lymphoma and other hematological diseases.
\nIn order for us to thank all of you who continue to participate and support the realization of Ana’s greatest wish \u2013 the development of the voluntary bone marrow donor Registry and operation of the cord blood bank \u201cAna Rukavina\u201d, the Foundation has organized a great humanitarian concert, in association with the City of Zagreb, Croatian Radiotelevision, EPH and Digitel.
\nSince the start of the \u201ccampaign for Ana\u201d the number of voluntary bone marrow donors has gone up from a mere 150 and has grown to 29,143 in just one year. We expect to add the names of 30,000 voluntary donors to the Registry by the end of the year.<\/p>\n
The project for tissue typing all of the collected samples requires substantial financial funding considering that each tissue typing costs 1,000 Kuna.<\/p>\n
