In the City Council of Vara\u017edin, the deputy mayor of Vara\u017edin, Zlatko Horvat, presented Marija Rukavina, the director of the Foundation, with an embroidered portrait of her daughter Ana that was made by Verica Mihali\u0107.<\/p>\n
At the initiative of Mrs. Ru\u017eica Juras, the president of the Senior Citizens\u2019 Club of Vara\u017edin, Mrs. Verica Mihali\u0107 made a portrait in satin stitch which included a few thousand stitches. It took the author almost 6 months to complete the portrait. We are extremely grateful to Mrs. Mihali\u0107 for the incredible effort that she made with so much love for our Foundation.<\/p>\n
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Mrs. Ru\u017eica Juras, who until now has donated 13,000 kuna to the Foundation from the sale of the CD \u201cMy Dear Vara\u017edin\u201d. This money is intended to help tissue type blood samples from potential bone marrow donors.
\nAlso, we would like to thank Mr. Ernest Fi\u0161er, the editor-in-chief of the Vara\u017edin newspaper, for helping and promoting the work of our Foundation whenever he can.<\/p>\n
