Every new donor who joins the Registry increases the chances of finding a non-related donor and saving someone\u2019s life. Bone marrow transplantation can treat patients with acute and chronic forms of leukemia, as well as patients with severely damaged bone marrow.<br \/>\nAll healthy people between the ages of 18 and 40 can join the Registry by filling in an application form and a medical questionnaire and giving a blood sample for HLA tissue typing (the procedure for determining the tissue compatibility antigen).<\/p>\n<p>The action in Vara\u017edin on Sunday brings our springtime cycle of actions to join the Registry to a close.
