This year, once again, the Ana Rukavina Foundation would like to thank all of the citizens who have helped realize the Foundation\u2019s mission \u2013 saving lives. For the seventh year in a row, the \u201cI want life\u201d concert will celebrate the most precious thing \u2013 life. The concert will take place on Ban Josip Jela\u010di\u0107 Square on Friday, December 21st, starting at 9 PM.<\/p>\n
Many famous singers will perform at the concert, including: Jelena Rozga, Nina Badri\u0107, Colonija, Lana Jur\u010devi\u0107, Maja \u0160uput, Neda Ukraden, Franka Bateli\u0107, Luka Ni\u017eeti\u0107, Jasmin Stavros, Pink Studija, Ivan Zak, Giuliano, Goran Karan, Klapa Ri\u0161pet, Op\u0107a Opasnost and E.T. All those who will not have the opportunity to attend the concert will be able to watch the live broadcast on Nova TV starting at 9 PM.<\/p>\n
You can support the work of the Foundation by calling the humanitarian hotline number 060 9000 and therefore donating 6.25 kuna (including VAT). A call center will also be active during the concert. Prominent Croatian public figures will answer the calls made to the hotline number and in that way help raise funds for the further development of the Foundation.<\/p>\n
The mission of the Ana Rukavina Foundation is to realize Ana\u2019s dream, and that is to further develop the Croatian Registry of voluntary hematopoietic stem cell donors. By calling the humanitarian hotline number 060 9000 you can help us achieve that goal.<\/p>\n
With its \u201cI want life\u201d concert, the Ana Rukavina Foundation wants to remind us once again that each of us carries the \u201ccure\u201d which can save someone\u2019s life, and in order to really do that, it is necessary to join the Registry and become a potential hematopoietic stem cell donor. The Foundation, by encouraging a culture of civic solidarity and promoting philanthropic values, has increased the number of potential donors from the initial 150 to nearly 37,500 citizens today. More than 200 public actions to join the Registry have been organized throughout Croatia, as well as countless other actions which were organized by friends of the Foundation, who in that way helped save lives.<\/p>\n
Croatia currently has 30,762 potential hematopoietic stem cell donors registered in the \u201cBone Marrow Donors Worldwide\u201d world registry, as well as 2,026 cord blood samples. The Croatian Registry has issued 24 transplants, 15 for patients in Croatia and 9 for patients abroad, which means that 24 people have received a new lease on life.
