total of 150 new potential donors registered in Beli\u0161\u0107e and Otok"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>During the Foundation\u2019s 206th and 207th consecutive actions, which were held last Saturday in Beli\u0161\u0107e and Otok, the names of a total of 150 new potential donors were entered in the Registry of voluntary hematopoietic stem cell donors; 85 in Beli\u0161\u0107e and 65 in Otok. <\/p>\n<p>During the donor recruitment drive, which was organized by the Ana Rukavina Foundation with the help of the HDSSB (the Croatian Democratic Union of Slavonia and Baranja), as well as the municipal organization of the SDP (Party of Democratic Rights) in Otok, the locals of Beli\u0161\u0107e and Otok gave their blood samples for tissue typing and thus increased the chances of saving suffering from acute and chronic forms of leukemia, as well as patients with severely damaged bone marrow.
