An action to join the Registry of voluntary hematopoietic stem cell donors will be held on Thursday, December 12th, from 3 PM to 5 PM, on the premises of the Croatian Association of Dramatic Artists (HDDU) (Amru\u0161eva 19) in Zagreb.<\/p>\n
The action will be held with the organizational help of the HDDU. All healthy people between the ages of 18 and 40 can join the Registry by filling in an application form and a medical questionnaire and giving a blood sample for HLA tissue typing (the procedure for determining the tissue compatibility antigen).<\/p>\n
All interested citizens can join the actors and make a contribution to the work of the Foundation by calling the humanitarian number 060 9000 which donates 5 kuna (plus VAT). You can also participate in the traditional \u201cI want life\u201d concert which will be held on Ban Josip Jela\u010di\u0107 Square on December 20th at 9 PM.<\/p>\n
Every potential donor can save someone\u2019s life because bone marrow transplantation can treat patients with acute and chronic forms of leukemia, as well as patients with severely damaged bone marrow.
