Dear friends, we have received the report from the Clinical Institute for Transfusion Medicine and Transplantation Biology of the University Hospital Centre Zagreb on the new 100 typed samples from September to November.
The samples were typed at three loci: HLA-A, HLA-B and HLA-DRB1 and now the number of typed potential donors is 63,524.
Also, 900 samples of potential donors previously typed at three loci: HLA-A, HLA-B and HLA-DRB1 were additionally, in the same period, typed at the HLA-C locus.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of you who have entered the Croatian Bone Marrow Donor Registry, the staff of transfusion centers in eight cities in the Republic of Croatia, as well as all our dear organizers of actions throughout Croatia who helped that many potential donors join the Croatian Registry, and thus provide hope of healing to sick persons in search of matching donors.
