Dear friends, at today’s action held at the Stjepan Radić Student Dorm in Zagreb, a total of 107 new potential donors of hematopoietic stem cells joined the Registry of voluntary donors of hematopoietic stem cells.
We organized the action at the initiative and with the help of students Lucija Ivandić and Anamarija Zanić.
With this action Lucija and Anamarija wanted to encourage as many young people as possible to join the Registry in order to help their friend Jurica Antolić, whose leukemia returned after two years and for further treatment he now needs a bone marrow transplant.
We are sincerely grateful to all the young people who came out to support this effort and in this way increased the chances of finding a non-related donor for Jurica, as well as for all the patients who are waiting for bone marrow transplants.
We would also like to thank Lucija and Anamarija, as well as Manuela Ivić, one of our volunteers for many years already, the residents of the Stjepan Radić Student Dorm who participated in the organization of the action, and, of course, the board of the student dorm which allowed us to use the premises for our action.
