76 potential donors in Petrinja and the 47th transplant from the Croatian Registry

Dear friends, at the action held at the Petrinja Secondary School in Petrinja on April 21st, a total of 76 new potential donors of hematopoietic stem cells joined the Registry.

We held this action at the initiative of Mr. Željko Perković and Mrs. Slavenka Vujnović Norković, who are both teachers at the Petrinja Secondary School.

We are sincerely grateful to the teachers for their initiative, as well as all the young people, most of whom are graduates of the Petrinja Secondary School, for joining us at yesterday’s action.

In addition, we are filled with joy to inform you that in March another transplant was carried out using hematopoietic stem cells from non-related voluntary donors!

Stem cells from the Croatian Registry of voluntary hematopoietic stem cell donors were transplanted into a patient in Croatia. The number of voluntary donations of stem cells from non-related donors since the start of the operation of the Croatian Registry now totals 47.

We are truly grateful to all the donors whose generous acts have given a new chance at life to those who are suffering!
