Dear friends, in April 2020, the Ana Rukavina Foundation, by the Decision of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation, decided to help publish the textbook “Child and Adolescent Psychiatry” by prof.dr.sc. Ivan Begovac and associates with a donation of 35,000 kunas to the Croatian Medical Association and the Croatian Society for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy.
The textbook was published on the Dr Med – a digital repository of the Medical Faculty of the University of Zagreb and is available free of charge for anyone who wants to read more about this important topic.
The part that will be important to the parents of children with hematological diseases can be found in the chapter “Psychosocial significance of certain physical diseases” by prof.dr.sc. Ivan Begovac and prof.dr.sc. Ernest Bilic. Although it is primarily intended as a textbook for medical students, we believe that it will be useful to anyone interested in child and adolescent psychiatry and an excellent source of information, especially for parents of sick children.
