We are honored to announce that 71 voluntary donors of hematopoietic stem cells have registered in the Croatian registry. The happiest response to this action was the initiator of the Ana Rukavina Foundation, the man whose life was saved by the transplantation of hematopoietic stem cells, Mr. Petar Marasović.
Thanks to the initiator Petar Marasović, M.Sc. Lucija Meštrović, Dr. Marin Šimunić, KBC Transfusion Institute Split, Club DDK Trilj and Red Cross Sinj for their great help, and endless thanks to Esma Čečuk Jeličić, PhD, Trilj mayor Ivan Bugarin, DVD commander Trilj Mladen Klarić, with his fellow firefighters, members of the police, and athletes and alkar Mihovila Župa, who personally supported the action and some of them registered in the Croatian register, thus becoming role models for all potential donors.
