On Saturday, October 3, 2026, within the welcoming atmosphere of the Alkarski Dvori, we held a registration drive for the Croatian Registry of Voluntary Hematopoietic Stem Cell Donors. Seventeen new potential donors decided to offer hope to those awaiting a second chance at life.
Every smile, outstretched hand, and new registration conveyed the same message: that we are not alone and that, together, we can be someone’s hope.
This city of *alkars*, pride, and big hearts demonstrated that the greatest victories are sometimes won through the quiet decision to help someone we will never meet. The Ana Rukavina Foundation extends its heartfelt thanks to Assoc. Prof. Inga Mandac Smoljanović, MD, PhD, for her organization, selfless support, and letter of appreciation, as well as to the City of Sinj for its hospitality and trust. Special thanks go to all the citizens of Sinj who answered Ana’s call and provided a blood sample for strangers in need. Ana wrote: “I want to live.” Today, her wish echoes the voices of all those waiting for a matching donor. Thank you, people of Sinj, for hearing that voice. Behind every registration lies a heart beating for someone else. Behind every name—hope. Together, we have shown that when love is shared, lives are changed.
