Dear friends, on Monday, June 13th, we will come for the first time in Novi Vinodolski where we will have an action for joining the Croatian Bone Marrow Donor Registry.
You can join us from 11 AM to 1 PM in “Ivan Mažuranić” elementary school (Lokvica 2) and join the Registry.
The action in Novi Vinodolski is initiated by Mr. Mario Kevrić and Mr. Boris Turjak, principal of “Ivan Mažuranić” elementary school, who want to encourage their fellow citizens to help sick people in their search for a matching donor.
To enter the Registry, you have to be between 18 and 40 years old. The process includes filling the form and a health questionnaire, as well as giving a sample of your blood for HLA tissue typing that determines the antigens of tissue tolerance. Joining the Registry is the first step for helping people with acute and chronic forms of leukemia, or damaged bone marrow.
