Cres high school students charity project for Ana Rukavina Foundation

Dear friends, high school students from Cres, along with their teacher, professor Sonja Pokupec Salković, organized on December 19th a charity “Christmas in our hearts” where they were selling homebaked cookies and have decided to donate a contribution to the Ana Rukavina Foundation.

Cres high school students and their professor Pokupec Salković, head of leisure activities in the gymnasium “Volunteering – and I don’t have to” initiated the action, which involved also other professors of Cres gymnasium as well as mothers and grandmothers that have baked cookies and packed them into the pretty holiday bags with festive message .

Together with Christmas cookies, hardworking high school students have collected donations for T-shirt with the logo of the Foundation as well as inform interested citizens about the possibility of joining the Croatian Bone Marrow Donor Registry, and have collected nearly 6,000 kuna.

The action was, among others, joined by Mr. Tomislav Salković, who has donated stem cells two months to a completely unknown person suffering from leukemia and by that has provided that person with a new opportunity for life.

We are thankful to Cres high school students and their professor for the noble action they organized to help our Foundation’s work, they brought us joy and happiness in this holiday season and they showed their true Christmas spirit!
