Thank You Concert on Ban Jelačić Square

Thank You Concert on Ban Jelačić Square

Announced: December 18, 2007
In Zagreb’s Ban Jelačić Square on December 18, 2007, a humanitarian concert was organized by the Ana Rukavina Foundation in order to thank all the people who have unselfishly contributed during the past year to make Ana’s greatest wish come true – to expand the voluntary bone marrow donor Registry and open the cord blood bank. Owing to the 30,000 incredibly giving people who were added to the Registry this past year, to all the wonderful and noble people who organized actions in towns to collect blood samples, to all the media who found the time to follow and support the Foundation’s work since Ana’s letter was published, to all the companies, institutions and individuals (including those who could not provide a sample due to illness or age limitation but whose contributions meant more than money) we have achieved nothing short of a miracle.

Our dear musical celebrities heated up the stage and the square by providing a great atmosphere. The featured artists were: ET, Vanna, Miroslav Škoro, Baruni, Mladen Bodalec, Jelena Radan, Ivana Radovniković, Luka Nižetić, Teška industrija, Kraljevi Ulice, Maja Šuput and Feminem, Lana Jurčević and Davor Radolfi. Throughout the evening, calls were made to our hotline number 060 90 12 and the donations amounted to a substantial sum of money raised. We would like to thank all of our distinguished guests who joined us at the City Cafe to mark the first anniversary of the Foundation’s existence and work, and whose contributions have helped us to accelerate the tissue typing procedure.
