Dear friends, the fourth successful pre-Christmas “I want life” concert for the Ana Rukavina Foundation is behind us. Thank you for once again helping to make Ana’s vision become a reality – by working together to save those that are suffering and to give them the gift of life.
In great thanks to you, there were 148,220 calls made to the humanitarian hotline during yesterday’s concert, and together we raised 911,553 kuna. The calls made to the humanitarian hotline number, 060 9005, were answered by more than 250 well known people from the world of politics, economy, sports and many celebrities.
The finances raised at this concert will be used towards tissue typing the 32,963 blood samples that have been collected, of which slightly more than 13,000 have already been tissue typed. The process of tissue typing one blood sample costs 1,580 kuna.
