In the period from July 19, 2011 to August 17, 2011, there were 800 new blood samples from stern cell donors tissue typed using the molecular method for HLA locus A, B and DRB1.
Out of the total of 33,244 donors listed in the Registry, until today 25,375of them have been HLA tissue typed. There are still 7,869 blood samples from potential donors which remain to be tissue typed.
We would like to thank everyone who has enabled us to get closer to achieving our goal of tissue typing all of the collected blood samples so that the Croatian Registry is as operational and accessible as possible to search for non-related bone marrow and stem cell donors.
