900 new HLA tissue typed blood samples from potential donors

In the period August 18 – September 16, 2011, there were 900 new blood samples from potential hematopoietic stem cell donors tissue typed using the molecular HLA method for loci A, B and DRB1.

Out of the total number of 33,244 people listed in the Registry, until today 26,275 donors have been HLA tissue typed. This leaves 6,969 blood samples to be tissue typed.

We would like to thank everyone who has enabled us to get closer to reaching our goal, which is to tissue type all of the collected blood samples so that the Croatian Registry is operational and available to be searched for non-related bone marrow and stem cell donors.
