185th action to join the Registry to be held in Split

On Saturday, April 28th, from 11 AM to 3 PM, the 185th action to join the Registry of voluntary hematopoietic stem cell donors will take place on the waterfront in Split.

We are inviting all the citizen of Split to contribute to saving lives by joining the Registry. Namely, every new donor listed in the Registry increases the chances of finding a matching donor and saving someone’s life. Bone marrow transplantation can cure patients with acute and chronic forms of leukemia, as well as patients with severely damaged bone marrow.

All healthy people between the ages of 18 and 40 can join the Registry by filling in an application form and a medical questionnaire and giving a blood sample for HLA tissue typing (the procedure for determining the tissue compatibility antigen).

Dear citizens of Split and its surroundings, we hope to see as many of you as possible!
