On February 14th, Valentine’s Day, a great humanitarian action was organized by the city chapter of the Hvar Red Cross for the Ana Rukavina Foundation.
The participants in the action were the primary schools and kindergartens in Hvar and Stari Grad, as well as the Hvar secondary school and the activists of the retirement home together with the pupils of the Jelsa branch of the secondary school. A promotional poster in the shape of a heart depicting Ana’s picture in the middle was made by a teacher at the Hvar primary school, Mrs. Milena Filičević, and hardworking parents, children and teachers prepared cakes, hearts from various materials and gingerbread cookies in the shape of hearts decorated with the name of the Foundation.
The city chapter of the Hvar Red Cross has been organizing these actions to raise money for the Foundation since 2008. This year they have raised 10,000 kuna for us.
We would sincerely like to thank the organizers of this action, the director of the Hvar Red Cross, Mrs. Maja Budrović, all the primary and secondary schools from Hvar that participated in the action, as well as the kindergartens, parents, retirement home and all those who responded to the action and in that way contributed to the work of the Foundation.
