Dear friends, on Wednesday, October 19th, from 12h to 14h, in facilities of Music School Jastrebarsko (Zrinski-Frankopana Street 13), an action to join the Croatian Bone Marrow Donors Registry will be held.
This action of joining the Croatian Registry the Foundation organizes on the initiative and with the help of Lidija Balija, and with a financial support of Zagreb county which awarded us with funds via Public tender for a project “The cure is in us” on the territory of Zagreb county.
All healthy citizens between the age of 18 and 40 can join the Croatian Registry. The process involves filling out a form and a health questionnaire, and giving out a blood sample for HLA typization which is used to determine antigens of tissue tolerance. Joining the Registry is the first step in helping people around the world diagnosed with acute or chronic form of leukemia, or people that have a severe damage of bone marrow.
