Two new actions to register new members in the Registry of voluntary hematopoietic stem cell donors will be held on Saturday, April 13. The first one will take place between 10 AM and 12 PM in the Park of Croatian Homeland War Veterans in Belišće, and the other in the Otok outpatient’s clinic between 3 PM and 5 PM.
All healthy people between the ages of 18 and 40 can join the Registry by filling in an application form and a medical questionnaire and giving a blood sample for HLA tissue typing (the procedure for determining the tissue compatibility antigen).
The motto of every action to join the Registry is – the cure is in us! Every potential donor may save someone’s life because bone marrow transplantation can treat patients suffering from acute and chronic forms of leukemia, as well as patients with severely damaged bone marrow.
Join us during the actions in Slavonia this Saturday.
