Action to join the Croatian Registry in Zagreb

On Monday, September 29, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Gluten Bio company, Crvenog Križa 31, in Zagreb, the Ana Rukavina Foundation will hold an action to register in the Croatian Registry of Voluntary Hematopoietic Stem Cell Donors. The action will be held in cooperation with Mrs. Vedrana and Kristina and Mr. Otto to help his sister and sick people in Croatia and around the world in their search for a matching donor. All healthy citizens aged 18 to 40 can register in the Croatian Registry. The registration process includes filling out an application form and a health questionnaire, and providing a blood sample for HLA typing, which determines tissue compatibility antigens. Registration in the Croatian Registry is the first step that needs to be completed in order to help seriously ill patients with acute and chronic leukemia and patients with severe bone marrow damage around the world. The message of each action to register in the Croatian Registry is that the cure is within us. With it, the Foundation wants to remind citizens that we carry within us a cure that can save lives. So far, through the work of the Ana Rukavina Foundation and the Croatian Registry, which is part of the World Marrow Donor Association, 67,977 potential donors of hematopoietic stem cells have been registered, and today there is hope for life for 202 patients in Croatia and abroad. Join us!!
