Ana Rukavina was born on today’s date in 1977. Today we remember our Ana and her sunny disposition, courage and desire to live. Even though she left us too early, today we celebrate life in honor of Ana and maestro Šutej with the traditional 5th Concert for Life.
The traditional “Concert for Life”, organized by the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra for the Ana Rukavina Foundation, will be held today, on March 28th, at the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall starting at 7:30 PM. As a part of the Blue Series of the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, the concert will include performances by top musicians, the world renowned British conductor and pianist Wayne Marshall, and our pianist Mladen Janjanin.
Tickets are on sale at the prices of 60, 90 and 120 kuna, and they can be bought online at Ulaznica.hr and at the ticket office of the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra.
The proceeds from the tickets sales will go towards the work of the Ana Rukavina Foundation.
As a result of the work of the Foundation, the number of people listed in the Registry of voluntary hematopoietic stem cell donors has increased from the initial 150 names to 43,546 citizens currently, and we are especially proud of this. We would like to believe that we have therefore provided hope to those who urgently need it. The absolute highlight of our work is the 39 transplants from donors listed in the Croatian Registry for patients in Croatia and abroad. This fact is the biggest motivating factor for our continued work.
