KBC Zagreb namers a head for the Registry of voluntary bone marrow and stem cell donors

The director of the Clinical Hospital Center Zagreb has named Assistant Professor Mirando Mrsić, MD, PhD, as the head of the Registry of voluntary bone marrow and stem cell donors.
Assistant Professor Mirando Mrsić, MD, PhD, was born on October 14, 1959 in Split. He graduated from the Medical School in Zagreb (a university degree in medicine – medical doctor, internal specialist – hematology, doctorate in biomedical science).

After Ana’s death, he was involved in setting up the Foundation with the aim to expand the Registry of voluntary bone marrow donors and to establish the Public Cord Blood Bank. Since the establishment of the Foundation he has held the position as the medical director.

By selecting Dr. Mirando Mrsić to perform the duties of the head of the Registry of voluntary bone marrow and stem cell donors, we hope for even better cooperation with international organizations for stem cell transplantations (Bone Marrow Donors Worldwide – BMDW), which will benefit all those suffering from leukemia and lymphoma.
