On Tuesday, April 8th, at the 4th High School “Marko Marulić” in Split, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Esma Čečuk Jeličić gave a lecture on the work of the Ana Rukavina Foundation, how to become a donor of hematopoietic stem cells and the procedure of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
The lecture was held at the initiative of Ms. Karolina Ivanišević Viđak, librarian of the 4th High School “Marko Marulić” and we would like to sincerely thank Ms. Ivanišević Viđak and all the educators who joined our actions “The Cure is in Us”, which aim to educate and motivate young people to register in the Croatian Bone Marrow Donor Registry to help those who are looking for a matching donor.
Educating young people in schools is the best way to spread awareness of the importance of helping and the knowledge that we all carry the cure within us that can one day save someone’s life.
A heartfelt thank you to our dear Dr. Esma for the lecture she gave, we know that she always dedicates herself to them with all her heart as if she were giving them for the first time, to Mrs. Ivanišević Viđak for her wonderful initiative, and to all the young people who listened with interest and, we hope, decided to help one day.
