Dear friends, we received a report from the Clinical Institute for Transfusion Medicine and Transplantation Biology of the University Hospital Centre Zagreb on the new 1000 typed samples in September.
Samples were typed at three loci: HLA-A, HLA-B, and HLA-DRB1, and the number of potential donors typed is now 63,424.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to all of you who signed up for the Croatian Bone Marrow Donor Registry, the staff at transfusion centers in eight cities in the Republic of Croatia, as well as all our dear organizers of actions throughout Croatia who helped as many potential donors join the Croatian Registry and thus provide hope of healing to sick persons in search of matching donors.
