150th transplant from the Croatian Registry, 100 new typed samples

We are happiest when we receive a report from the Croatian Bone Marrow Donor Registry on a hematopoietic stem cell transplant from a donor from the Croatian Registry, especially the jubilee 150th donor!
In April, the Croatian Registry issued the 150th transplant, this time for a Croatian patient, and we believe that the patient’s recovery will be successful and that another life will be won in the battle with this disease.
The University Hospital Centre Zagreb conducted another 100 typing of samples at three loci (HLA-A, HLA-B and HLA-DRB1), which means that the number of typed samples is 61.843.
Thank you all for registering in the Croatian Registry, your membership increases the chance of sick people to find a matching donor.
Thanks to all organizers of actions and volunteers who help to increase the number of potential donors, as well as transfusion centers in eight cities in the Republic of Croatia and many thanks to the staff of the University Hospital Centre Zagreb who conducts the process of taking hematopoietic stem cells to reach sick people and give them hope for life.
