From September 1 to December 31, 2008, the Croatian Post will regularly sell additional stamps of the Ana Rukavina Foundation in post offices. The purchase of these stamps is voluntary and they can be used on all postal packages within Croatia.
This is one more of the actions we have started in our campaign “Kuna for a Drop of Life” in which we intend to tissue type the 32,261 collected blood samples as soon as possible. In this way we will make it possible to search the Registry and find matching donors for those people who are suffering from malignant hematological diseases and are in need of bone marrow transplants.
It costs more than 1,000 Kuna to tissue type just one blood sample and until now we have tissue typed 6,574 blood samples.
We would like to invite all our dear citizens, companies and institutions to help us in our joint effort to make the Registry fully operational.
