The celebration of Ana Rukavina Erceg’s birthday

Ana Rukavina Erceg’s birthday (March 28th) will be marked by a number of events this year:

  • Šibenik: March 28, 2009 – The opening of the “Ana Rukavina Garden”. The garden is located on the northern side of the medieval fortress Sveti Mihovil, across from the “Josip Mrkica Grove”. The initiative to turn that abandoned part of town into a garden named after Ana Rukavina was launched by the Women’s Association “Katarina Zrinski”. The garden will be officially opened by the president of the HDZ Women’s Association “Katarina Zrinski”, Mrs. Bianca Matković and the president of the Šibenik Women’s Association, Mrs. Neda Klarić. The opening will be attended by Ana’s mother, Mrs. Marija Rukavina, the director of the Foundation.
  • Osijek: March 29, 2009 – In honor of Ana and to help the expansion of the national Registry, the Croatian National Theater Osijek has taken the initiative and organized the performance of Marc Camoletti’s “Pajamas for Six”, directed by Robert Raponj. The entire proceeds of the show will be donated to the Foundation. The City of Osijek has bought tickets for the show in the amount of 10,000 Kuna.
  • Zagreb: April 2, 2009 – The documentary film “I want life” will premiere on channel 2 on Croatian Television at 8:05 PM.
