142 new potential donors join the Registry in Čakovec

At today’s action held at the Polytechnic of Međimurje in Čakovec, a total of 142 citizens joined the Registry of voluntary hematopoietic stem cell donors.

As part of the 247th action to join the Registry, all the students were able to find out more about joining the Registry and what it means to be a potential stem cell donor at the presentation given by the head of the Registry, Mirta Mikulić, PhD.

The action to join the Registry in Čakovec was held at the initiative of Professor Mirjana Trstenjak. With the organization of this action the Foundation continues its mission of expanding the Registry which currently lists more than 44,000 potential hematopoietic stem cell donors.

We are grateful to the Polytechnic of Međimurje and Professor Mirjana Trstenjak for helping us to organize this action to join the Registry. We are glad that the students showed such great interest not only to join the Registry but to find out more about the work of the Foundation, as this increases the chances that someone who is severely ill will find a matching donor.
