On Tuesday, January 21st, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Ana Rukavina Foundation will hold an action to enroll in the Croatian Bone Marrow Donor Registry in the Tekstilpromet building (Ul. Grada Gospića 1A) in Zagreb. This action is being held in cooperation with four faculties of the University of Zagreb: Architecture, Civil Engineering, Geodesy, and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture.
All healthy citizens aged 18 to 40 can register in the Croatian Registry, thereby giving a chance for life to those seriously ill with acute and chronic forms of leukemia and patients with severe bone marrow damage. The registration process includes filling out an application form and a health questionnaire and providing a blood sample for HLA typing, determining tissue compatibility antigens.
