The 211th action to join the Registry of voluntary hematopoietic stem cell donors will take place on Tuesday, April 30th from 12 PM to 3 PM at the premises of the Ana Rukavina Foundation at Ulica Kneza Mislava 10/1.
The action is being jointly organized by the Ana Rukavina Foundation and the company DM-Drogerie Markt.
All healthy people between the ages of 18 and 40 can join the Registry by filling in an application form and a medical questionnaire and giving a blood sample for HLA tissue typing (the procedure for determining the tissue compatibility antigen).
The motto of every action to join the Registry is – the cure is in us! Every potential donor may become a potential savior of someone’s life because bone marrow transplantation can treat patients suffering from acute and chronic forms of leukemia, as well as patients with severely damaged bone marrow.
