In memory of Ana Rukavina Erceg and maestro Vjekoslav Šutej, the traditional, eleventh Concert for Life after a two-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic will be held on Friday, May 20, at 7:30 pm in the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall. Like every year, this concert will be organized by the Zagreb Philharmonic for the Ana Rukavina Foundation under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Croatia and will feature Jelena Radan and take visitors on a unique musical journey – through Fado & Voyage. Part of the proceeds from ticket sales is intended for the expansion of the Croatian Bone Marrow Donor Registry and the professional development of young doctors in the field of hematology and other related specializations.
Jelena Radan will perform at the Concert for Life in the Off-Cycle accompanied by her musicians and a large philharmonic orchestra, in the guise of new arrangements by prominent Croatian composers Frane Đurović and Krešimir Seletković, and present some of her greatest hits such as Čudo, Voljet ću te sutra, and Kad nas ne bude. Throughout her career, she has been regularly accompanied by fado, which she performs with so much emotion, skill, and passion, and on this occasion, she will perform compositions that are special to her such as Meu fado meu and Lagrima.
Accompanied by the Zagreb Philharmonic under the direction of British maestro Jonathan Griffith, all visitors will be able to enjoy the magical performance of Jelena Radan with Fado & Voyage and celebrate the most precious thing – life.
