The Ana Rukavina Foundation continues to expand its circle of friends throughout Croatia. A charity auction of paintings will be organized on September 20, 2008 in Hotel Valamar Diamant in Poreč under the auspices of the Valamar Tourist Group.

The wonderful performance by the Budapest Roma Symphony Orchestra and some of the best Hungarian violinists thrilled a big audience who enjoyed their open-air concert at Šalata. This unique group, which is made up of 6 cymbals, 60 violins, 9 violas, 6 cellos, 10 double basses and 9 clarinets, overjoyed the Zagreb public.

The largest Roma symphony orchestra, the Budapest Gipsy Symphony Orchestra, otherwise known as “A Hundred Roma Violins”, will again perform in Zagreb. The concert will also be a charity event as part of the proceeds will go toward the Ana Rukavina Foundation.

From September 1 to December 31, 2008, the Croatian Post will regularly sell additional stamps of the Ana Rukavina Foundation in post offices. The purchase of these stamps is voluntary and they can be used on all postal packages within Croatia.

Thanks to all of you who have joined the Registry of voluntary bone marrow and stem cells donors, given blood samples for tissue typing, and have financially contributed to the development of the Registry, today we have 4,553 tissue typed samples.
