“Open Heart Day” for the Ana Rukavina Foundation

To commemorate the day of Ana’s premature departure, we are inviting you to OPEN HEART DAY, which will take place on November 27th from 10 AM to 8 PM at the premises of the Ana Rukavina Foundation (Kneza Mislava 10/1).

Come and join the Registry of voluntary hematopoietic stem cell donors. This action will be held in place of the traditional action in December on Ban Josip Jelačić Square.

The action “Open Heart Day” is just another way for us to remind you that within each and every one of us is the “cure” which we can give to those who need it most, and that with a positive attitude in life, and the spreading of good energy and faith, together we can do good and save lives.

We believe that you will gladly respond to our invitation, and that we will continue to work together to strengthen the culture of civic solidarity and pass on the life values which bring an invaluable sense of solidarity and unity to our community.

All healthy people between the ages of 18 and 40 can join the Registry by filling in an application form and a medical questionnaire and giving a blood sample for HLA tissue typing (the procedure for determining the tissue compatibility antigen).

“Open Heart Day” will be attended by medical experts from the Registry and the Cord Blood Bank “Ana Rukavina”, and all of you, especially future mothers, are encouraged to learn about joining the Registry and donating cord blood stem cells!

We look forward to seeing you!
