It has been 16 years since you left us, Ana. That Sunday morning, even though you were courageous, bold and hungry for life, your tired body needed to rest after what it has been through. Osnivanje javne Banke krvi iz pupkovine Ana Rukavina rezultat je velikog truda i uloženih sredstava Zaklade Ana Rukavina s ciljem da što više ljudi koji se liječe od hematoloških bolesti dobije priliku za ozdravljenje.

The Foundation’s public tenders make a major contribution to the personal professional development of the grantees, the environment in which they work and the well-being of the patients they treat – thus a contribution of great importance to the environment in which we live.

Professional training is an absolute necessity and even more of a necessity in an area such as hematology, especially in methods that are developing as rapidly as bone marrow transplantation. There was no similar organization in Croatia before, and the Ana Rukavina Foundation provided young hematologists with a unique opportunity to gain new knowledge, thus improving care for hematology patients.
