Dear friends, for the ninth consecutive year, the municipal branch of the Red Cross Hvar (GDCK) organized a traditional Valentine’s Day action to help and support the work of the Ana Rukavina Foundation.
We heard from Mrs. Maja Budrović, the head of the GDCK, that all the daycare centers on the island, as well as the primary and secondary schools and the after school program in Stari Grad regularly participate in this nice and humane action.
They made hearts, flowers, drops of blood, cakes and other various crafts which symbolize the Foundation. This year they raised about 10 thousand kuna, which the GDCK Hvar deposited on the Foundation’s account.
Ms. Budrović highlights the pride of every child, parent and mentor involvement in this action and this year the action was joined, for the first time, by a young male activists from the Hvar High School who prepared bean stew and joined the fundraising for the Foundation.
We are truly grateful to the GDCK Hvar, Mrs. Budrović, and all the children, parents and everyone who participated in this indeed praiseworthy and already traditional action for the Foundation by the GDCK Hvar.
