Dear friends, on Friday, September 13th, we held the action to join the Croatian Bone Marrow Donor Registry at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry in collaboration with the Croatian Pharmaceutical Students’ Association – CPSA and Takeda Pharmaceuticals Croatia to mark World Lymphoma Awareness Day.
Also, on the occasion of the World Lymphoma Awareness Day organized by the Croatian Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Prof.Dr.sc. Mirando Mrsić, medical director of the Ana Rukavina Foundation, delivered a lecture on Thursday, September 12th on the role of the Ana Rukavina Foundation in improving diagnostics at the Matica Hrvatska premises in Zagreb.
The action, held on Friday, September 13, was joined by 18 new members of the Croatian Registry, which was preceded by a lecture by Dr. Ivo Radman, a hematologist from University Hospital Centre Zagreb on the topic “What is Hodgkin’s lymphoma, how is it diagnosed and treated?”
World Lymphoma Awareness Day is celebrated on September 15 to raise awareness of lymphomas and inform people around the world about recognizing the symptoms of the disease so that the disease can be diagnosed and treated more successfully.
We would like to thank the Takeda Pharmaceuticals Croatia and the Croatian Pharmaceutical Students’ Association -CPSA for its initiative to raise awareness of lymphomas, Croatian Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for their invitation to participate in the lecture, as well as young people who have selflessly joined the Croatian Registry to help the sick in their search for a matching donor of hematopoietic stem cells.
