First ever World Marrow Donor Day

Dear friends, this year, September 19th we are celebrating first ever World Marrow Donor Day.

The main objective of World Marrow Donor Day is to raise awareness among the general public and decision-makers about being a stem cell donor and the impact of blood stem cell transplantation on patients’ lives.

University Hospital Centre Zagreb together with Croatian Bone Marrow Donor Registry and Ana Rukavina Foundation will celebrate that day in honor of more than 25 million potential donors all over the world.

We are thankful and proud of 52 donors from Croatian Registry. Because of them, 52 lives, from all over the world were given a second chance.
