378 citizens take part in “Open Heart Day”

At the jubilee 200th action, 378 citizens joined the Registry of voluntary hematopoietic stem cell donors.

“Open Heart Day” was organized in memory of Ana’s premature departure. It was attended by all the longtime donors and friends of the Foundation, as well as medical experts from the Registry and the Cord Blood Bank. All interested citizens, especially future mothers, were provided with additional information about joining the Registry and donating cord blood.

With this action, the Ana Rukavina Foundation once again reminded the citizens that they themselves carry the “cure” with which we can save lives, and that with a positive attitude and unfailing faith in life together we can do good. “With this action, we strive to nurture the culture of civic solidarity and promote philanthropic values that reinforce an invaluable sense of community in our society and humanity in general,” said Marija Rukavina, Director of the Ana Rukavina Foundation.

We are sincerely grateful to all the young people who joined the Registry yesterday, to our longtime donors, friends of the Foundation, and the medical experts from the Registry and Cord Blood Bank!
