The Ana Rukavina Foundation has organized three actions in Dalmatia this week to join the Registry of voluntary hematopoietic stem cell donors.
The first will take place in Šibenik on Friday, May 10th, from 10 AM to 1 PM on Trg Poljana. The second will be in Split on Saturday, May 11th, from 10 AM to 1 PM on the Riva, while the third action will take place in Supetar na Brač on Sunday, May 12th, from 9 AM to 12 PM at the premises of the City Branch of the Red Cross.
All healthy people between the ages of 18 and 40 can join the Registry by filling in an application form and a medical questionnaire and giving a blood sample for HLA tissue typing (the procedure for determining the tissue compatibility antigen).
The motto of every action to join the Registry is – the cure is in us! Every potential donor may save someone’s life because bone marrow transplantation can treat patients suffering from acute and chronic forms of leukemia, as well as patients with severely damaged bone marrow.
Join us in sunny Dalmatia at the 214th, 215th, and 216th actions to join the Registry because every new potential donor increases the survival chances of those people who are suffering!
