Dear friends, we received a report from the Clinical Institute for Transfusion Medicine and Transplantation Biology of the University Hospital Centre Zagreb on the new 300 typed samples in September.

Dear friends, two stem cell transplants were performed in February and March!
>>Matching the number of enrolled and typed potential donors
For the first time since the existence of the Croatian Registry, the Ana Rukavina Foundation and the Clinical Institute for Transfusion Medicine and Transplantation Biology of the University Hospital Centre Zagreb have matched data on the number of registered and typed potential donors in the Croatian Bone Marrow Donor Registry due to age and medical reasons.

Dear friends, for the fourteenth year in a row, a traditional Valentine’s Day activities for the Ana Rukavina Foundation was organized by the City Board of the Red Cross of the City of Hvar on February 12.

A little more than 14 years ago, on one letter, and one simple, but sincere and great wish – the desire for life, the idea, and vision that the Foundation has been following for 14 years came about, and on Valentine’s Day 2007 we officially started our work.

Dear friends, The Ana Rukavina Foundation procured 500 tests for HLA typing of samples of potential donors who entered the Croatian Bone Marrow Donor Registry on February 2, 2021, in Vinkovci, prompted by a call for help in finding an unrelated donor for a seven-year-old girl, Lucija Šuvaković from Vinkovci suffering from acute myeloid leukemia.
