We would like to thank the company Johnson&Johnson which has recognized the importance of the Foundation’s work and has donated 120,000 kuna towards HLA tissue typing blood samples.

700 new blood samples have been tissue typed, bringing the number of HLA tissue typed donors in the Registry up to 15,175.

Since the beginning of the Foundation’s activities, we have received great understanding and moral and financial support for our projects from the Bjelovar County Cancer League.

The number of HLA tissue typed donor blood samples has gone up by 400.

For the first time, the life of a patient in Croatia has been saved by way of a successful stem cell transplantation from a donor found in the Croatian Registry of voluntary bone marrow donors. Blood samples that were stored in the domestic Registry have helped Croatian patients suffering from leukemia, thereby fulfilling the mission of the Ana Rukavina Foundation.

The Croatian Society of Pharmaceutical Technicians has organized a congress titled “In Health and Sickness from Puberty to Adulthood” in Mali Lošinj from the 15th-18th of April 2010. The members of the Society have decided to use this occasion to help the Ana Rukavina Foundation by donating a part of their funds for the organization of the congress to the Foundation.
